This week I met Amanda Noone again. Last month, I treated a huge vein at the back of her right leg. It was over an inch wide (3cm in diameter) and stuck out at the back of her leg. It was causing Amanda pain when she bent her knee and she was very concerned that she might injure it and that it could bleed.
The Vein Removal Treatment
Amanda’s duplex ultrasound scan showed that she would be best treated by a combination of Ultrasound Guided Foam Sclerotherapy and Phlebectomy (vein removal without scars). Combination Vein Removal Treatments often give better results than each technique alone, in my opinion.
I did this for her under a local anaesthetic as a walk in, walk out procedure in just a couple of hours. Now, just a few weeks later, the results are amazing, as you can see from her photographs.
The Results
The massive vein was removed through a tiny (1 millimetre) circular “nick” in the skin. I invented and perfected this Scar-Free micro-removal technique over the last 4 years. Amanda’s photographs show some minor bruising but it is vey difficut to see where and how the veins were removed. In the next 6 months the area will look even better. When I see Amanda in the summer next year I will post an update (with her permission of course) so you can see the final result.
