The VeinCare Centre is open four days a week for consultations and treatments. The clinical areas are closed to patients and the office is closed every Monday. Why is this you might ask?
Well, we like to have time during the week for maintenance and repairs. Important equipment needs to be serviced and calibrated on a regular basis. The clinic is deep cleaned on a regular basis. Also, we like to have time for staff training, educational meetings and quality improvement activities. If the clinic were to be busy everyday of the week, we might find it difficult to fit these important activities into our annual programme.
The Clinic Directors strongly feel that it is equally important that our staff have sufficient “down time’ during their week with an opportunity for them to connect with their family and friends as well as look after their own household.
This quote is attributed to Abraham Lincoln:
“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe”.
When we are “CLOSED” on Mondays, we are involved in activities that contribute to our effectiveness during the rest of the week. You can contact us anytime using our contact form, but we will only respond when we are open.
By the way, we advocate planting trees rather than chopping them down.
