Super Glue For Veins

Almost exactly 2 years ago, I treated Isabella Byrne and yesterday I saw her for a check up. She had Venaseal™ or ‘superglue’ treatment which is a unique non-surgical treatment that uses a medical adhesive to safely and effectively treat varicose veins. Unlike other treatments, VenaSeal™ does not require tumescent local anaesthetic around the vein, so there are far fewer injections. The VenaSeal™ procedure also eliminates the use of heat (or thermal energy) so there is virtually no risk of nerve or skin injury. As the medical ‘superglue’ sets within a few minutes, medical stockings are not required afterwards.

At her check up, yesterday, her duplex ultrasound scan showed that there were no varicose veins and no reflux whatsoever.

This is what Mrs Byrne had to say…

“I would highly recommend the Melbury Clinic.  The services are very professional and provided in very clean and pleasant surroundings.  I feel very confident in following their advice and have been thrilled with the results of the Venaseal treatment.  My right leg had a significant varicose vein behind the knee and down the calf which I was very self-conscious about.  It was also painful on a daily basis.  Whilst the cost of the treatment was a serious consideration for our family I believe it has been a very worthwhile investment.  My husband and I rarely spend money on ourselves with three small children to take care of so the decision to have my leg fixed was mostly taken because of the pain it was causing.  However, it has also been a great boost to my confidence.  Having completed my family I am now optimistic that at forty-two I am still a young(ish) woman with something to offer.  It is because my leg now looks and feels normal that I have started running and doing pilates in the last two years.  I am fitter than I was ten years ago and it is great to look at clothes like shorts and skirts and think about wearing them with bare legs in the summer.  I have also just started a new job as Manager of a Pre-school, which requires a lot of energy and confidence in leading staff.  I would not have been able to do this without the confidence I have gained. Thank you for your care and support.  I really appreciate it.”
