Have you ever wondered what it is like inside a modern varicose vein treatment room? In this video blog I’ll show you around my vein treatment room and explain how I have designed it so that varicose veins can be treated by laser under local anaesthetic as a walk in walk out procedure.

The days of admission to hospital, surgery under general anaesthesia in a hospital operating theatre and overnight stays on hospital wards are over. The varicose vein treatment room that I use allows me to perform even complex vein procedures safely, efficiently and effectively. I have over 12 years experience of non-surgical options for vein removal and I have designed the vein treatment room in my own clinic.
The key features are
- The careful placement of all items of equipment including duplex ultrasound, endovenous laser and instruments
- The positioning of key members of staff
- The continuous monitoring of the well-being of the patient
Watch the video and let me show you around. Be warned, some of the explanations are a little detailed and may be most suited to a medical audience, but members of the public should find this peep behind the scenes interesting too.

The VeinCare Centre also offers a screening assessment with our vascular technologist. For £25 you can have a scan with Wendy Parsons. She is not a doctor and so she could not give you medical advice but she can check your deep veins and your varicose veins and give you an idea of how bad they are and whether laser might be suitable for you. If you would like to have an appointment with Wendy please call 01935 873 951
