Vein Clinic Cost Comparison

One of the questions we are asked frequently is “why do prices for veins treatments vary from clinic to clinic?” It is a very good question and I am going tell you why I think there is variation.

In some ways, the question is a like asking why a meal in one restaurant is more expensive than in another. For many people, the answer is so obvious that few would even ask the question. People understand that a steak in one restaurant may be very different from that in another. From the menu description, the meals may sound very much the same but when you sit down to eat the differences are obvious. Factors such as the quality of the meat and other ingredients, service, customer care and ambience help you decide where you might choose to eat. In the same way, factors such as the quality of our laser fibres and equipment, aftercare and the clinical setting as well as the standard of training of our staff may help you decide where you would like to have your veins treated.

Cost Comparison

Cost is an important consideration, but it is not the only one. Nevertheless the fixed price quotes for your treatment that we offer at the VCC are fully inclusive. There are no hidden extras or surprises. Your follow-up consultations and duplex ultrasound scans after treatment at 6 weeks and 6 months are included. In the very unlikely event that a treatment is unsuccessful, we will treat you again at no extra charge. During your recovery, you will have access to telephone advice and support from your specialist and the team and if you need to have an unscheduled appointment for any reason, no additional charges will be raised.

In the unlikely event that you have a problem after your treatment, our specialist team will see you and do their very best to put things right for you – again at no extra charge. Once you have had a final check up 6 months after your treatment, should you have any problems with new veins or other issues, within a full year of the treatment, once again, we will be happy to assess the problem and provide further treatment at no extra charge. The aim of our service is to achieve the best possible outcome for your vein condition as quickly as possible while also providing excellent value for money. The fee that you are quoted after your assessment is the fee you will be charged – that’s our promise to you. When making cost comparisons with other clinics and private hospitals, do check what services, treatments and aftercare are included in the fee.

Cost comparison is one thing – quality comparison is another.

Now, if you’re worried about your veins and would like a confidential chat please do get in touch. Our advisors are very happy to offer simple advice by telephone or email for free and without obligation. You can call and book an appointment direct without a referral from your GP on 01935 873951.

The VeinCare Centre also offers a screening assessment with our vascular technologist. For £25 you can have a scan with Wendy Parsons. She is not a doctor and so she  cannot give you medical advice but she can check your deep veins and your varicose veins and give you an idea of how bad they are. If you would like to have an appointment with Wendy please call 01935 873 951
