After being closed for nearly 5 months, we will reopen to patients today. All of us are so pleased to get back to work and to help people with their vein problems.
When we closed rather suddenly on 20th March in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to cancel many appointments for our patients who had treatments booked, who had follow-up appointments and also patients who had appointments for assessments and scans. Some of our patients have had a deterioration of their veins and their condition is now serious or urgent. Others have not completed their treatment and are anxious to see the end results.
Our patients who were cancelled will be contacted by Lisa Parsons (our administrator). As you can imagine, Lisa has many patients who were cancelled at short notice back in March. She has a long list of people to contact, so it may take her a while to get in contact with everyone.
During the last 5 months, I have been answering enquiries myself. Everyone who has requested an appointment will also be contacted, but, waiting times for appointments may be longer than usual. Out of fairness, we must give priority to those whose appointments were abruptly cancelled.
To everyone who is expecting a call or email, I would say, that in the unlikely event, that you are not contacted in 14 days, please get in contact to check on the progress of your enquiry.
The VeinCare Team has completed a deep clean of the clinic and all members of the VeinCare Team have undertaken enhanced training in relation to infection prevent and control with particular reference to COVID-19.
We are now COVID-secure and we welcome you back to have vein treatment in our safe healthcare environment.
When we see patients, we will need to conduct ourselves slightly differently to ensure the safety of our patients and our staff. You can find details of what we do differently on our website.
Although our office is open today, please forgive us if the phone is engaged when you call or if you do not receive an email response as quickly as usual.
